Sophie and Liv have provided me with alot of laughs this last week.
Over the weekend i just seemed to be exhausted, especially at bedtime. And I don't know what it is, but reading bedtime stories makes me sooo sleepy. So Saturday night, after reading our required 20 minutes, i looked at Sophie and said mommy's so sleepy, i'm just going to go to sleep here. She of course was so excited to have a slumber party and i fell asleep right on the spot in her comfy queen bed.
Well i woke up a few hours later and got in my own bed. Then sometime later Sophie comes into my room and wakes me up saying, "Mommy. What are you doing in here? You were supposed to stay in my bed all night!".
So then Sunday night it happened again. i couldn't believe how tired i was. I just leaned back on her bed and tried to go to sleep. but Sophie said mom get up! go put on your pajamas. and i said, no Mommy just wants to sleep. and she said no! get up and put on your pajamas so you don't leave like last time!
Yesterday i heard her waking up via the monitor. I was just about to go into her room when suddenly i heard the music from her mobile playing. I thought, did Will go in and turn it on? and i instantly knew that it was sweet 5mo Olivia that had turned on her own mobile! I got in there and she was just playing trying to grab the animals as they passed by. She did this again with her second nap. and i had to laugh as she was trying again in the middle of the night and when i got to her this morning, she had gotten to the other end of her crib, with her baby doll in hand for the first time (it's a special doll from my Aunt LouAnne)and she was on her side trying to turn on the mobile with her other hand. I said, Livi? are you trying to turn on your mobile? And you got your baby doll? She just grinned!
I can't believe how interactive and mobile she's getting to be.
We're also introducing solid foods, which is producing some very funny faces!
